so.....with your help raven, I solved my issues here. Firstly,

I went to the sql_layer.php file, and changed lines 285-288
from:

case "MySQL":
$row = mysql_fetch_ ...

I get this exact warning on the top of my page:

Warning: mysql_fetch_row(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in C:\Program Files\Apache Group\Apache2\htdocs\raven\html\include ...

Initially, that is what I thought..."d***, I must not have done the install right", but sure enough it was the error reporting that was causing the problem...

I did the recommended php.ini changes, ...

can someone take alook at my newly installed PHP nuke site...and tell me what I did wrong...

HEre is my environment

I am running Apache 2
PHP 4.3.4
PHPmyAdmin
Perl
ASP

on my home computer ...
