I was using the files that came with RN2.3. Clicking the new post button would take me back to the forum directory. And yes, it was the right and left side blocks. I had the left, but not the right ...

I would check the cookie settings in your Forums Configuration, make sure those are correct
They are. When clicking the button, it just refreshes back to the main forum page with all the sections.

7.6 patched, upgraded to RN 2.3
Followed the instructions in the upgrade file (ran the couple SQL scripts, uploaded all new files, etc.)

Well I just made a file block, I don't do it through the block admin.
would rather do it through block admin as i can let others access it w/o having to upload/download. hmm

You can also just make your own block and display whatever you want. Smile
I've been trying to do just that but getting the HTML stripped out so links don't work or go to my BlocksAdmin file Confused Using 7 ...

mostly to be able to give the spaces back to usernames unless there's a fix/tweak/hack somewhere for that. i've seen a few (i searched Wink ) but didn't find any that worked.

I'd like to downgrade 7.6v3.1patched to 7.6, is it possible to do so by just overwriting the files or is there a database edit as well? the issue is with not allowing space in usernames--I'd like to ...

yup, it does.
that's NukeNews but did it with 2 other themes as well, including DeepBlue which was updated at 2018.

weird thing is if I browse the modules db, the admin is listed by some of the modules. Confused Weird thing just happen ...

didn't work, it's already at 0 Sad

going to mysite/admin.php still redirects to the same module. argh.
