Problem solved by copying their code to a file and naming it "block-something.php" and saving to the blocks folder by ftp rather than using the new block menu.

OK I answered my own question.

Before anyone says this has already been answered or question why I bothered asking... I didn't find the answer or I wouldn't ask and what I am working on is important enough to want to work on it tod ...
