Now, you should see a link that says Build CGIAuth file. Click it. That will build your .staccess id:pass file.

Thanks but that wasn't my problem.

Mine was the fact I change the mainfile.php but didn't change it correctly... so the icon was not showing up. Soon as I took care of that it worked. But like you ...

index.php does not load footer.php and right blocks correctly, although all other pages do. Presume if comes from footer.php

You can't access this file directly...
