I figured they came in through that, but how? Using GET variables?

I'm using phpnuke 7.5, and running 2.1.2. This morning someone hacked my site. My log shows they went:

index.php
admin.php
admin.php
admin.php.op=ABMain
...
where they proceeded to shut down ...
