I am running 2 websites, the 1st with Nuke version 7.6 and NukeSentinel 2.3.2 and the 2nd with Raven's RavenNuke76 v2.02.02 Distro and NukeSentinel 2.4.2pl5.

When I click on the Display Tracked IP's link of the website running NukeSentinel 2.3.2, this shows all the tracked IP's arranged in date order and is defaulted to the 'All Modules' option. I have never had a problem with this showing the tracked Ip's in date order.

however, when I try the same with my latest website, which is running the Raven's RavenNuke76 v2.02.02 Distro and NukeSentinel 2.4.2pl5, the tracked IP addresses do not appear to display in the correct date/chronological order.

A second thing I note, but i think is a seperate issue, is that with my second installation, (ie the Raven's RavenNuke76 v2.02.02 Distro), I continue receiving countless tracked IP addresses from my hosts search engines. why is this and why do i not see a noticable amount of these kind of hits on my website running Nuke version 7.6 and NukeSentinel 2.3.2?

I am not in a position to check the files so cannot answer your firt question re the sort order.

Regarding your second issue, Sentinel WILL track search engines, in fact it tracks ALL visitors with a valid IP PROVEDED they have not been blocked or banned.

What evidence do you have that a specific IP is visiting your site but not getting tracked?
If you have specific IP's to work with, it is worth checking to see if they have not been blocked in htaccess or the block IP / blocked ranges table. If the IP belongs to a search engine, it would also be worth checking the banned referer list to see if it is in there too.

Hi Guardian,

As previosuly explained, one of my websites is running Raven's RavenNuke76 v2.02.02 Distro and NukeSentinel 2.4.2pl5 and the other is running Nuke version 7.6 and NukeSentinel 2.3.2?

The Raven's RavenNuke76 v2.02.02 Distro website is receivng many tracked IP's from the Yahoo! search engine, while the Nuke version 7.6 and NukeSentinel 2.3.2 website is not.

The reason I think that the website running Nuke version 7.6 and NukeSentinel 2.3.2 website is also receiving hits from the Yahoo! search engines but not being tracked is simply that BOTH websites are hosted by the same company, (Yahoo!).

I do not understand why one site would receive these hits and the other would not, so I assume that one is simply not recording these hits or has a file configured differently to stop the search engines being tracked or something.

One addition to this thread is that when I click the NukeSentinel Tracked IP's link in my Raven's RavenNuke76 v2.02.02 Distro website, the default is for the ADMIN page tracked IP's to be displayed. In the Nuke version 7.6 and NukeSentinel 2.3.2 website, when I click the NukeSentinel Tracked IP's link, the default is for the ALL MODULES tracked IP's to be displayed. How do I change this to be so in the Raven's RavenNuke76 v2.02.02 Distro website?

fyi... I moved this to the NukeSentinel forums as it is not RaveNuke related. It must be NS version related. The RN2.02.02 is NukeSentinel 2.4.2 pl6 (unless you upgraded it).

Hi montego.

the title of my nuke sentinel admin page says 'NukeSentinel(tm) 2.4.2pl5' and it has not been ungraded (or for that matter downgraded) since i installed the RavenNuke76 v2.02.02 Distro package. so how is it possible I have an older version than the 2.4.2 pl6 version you advise I should have?

My appologies, mrbilly, you are correct that RN2.02.02 came with pl5. The point is still that one version you mention is 2.3.2 and the other is 2.4.2. My point simply being that they are different NukeSentinel versions and have nothing to do with RavenNuke.

Unfortunately, as I am not on the development team for NukeSentinel, I do not know why it was changed in a later version. This is why I moved it to this forum as it might get better attention from those who ARE on the development team for NukeSentinel.

Regards,
montego
