I broke Announcements and Stickies

When I post or edit a topic and try to make it a sticky or an announcement I get and empty nuke page with just the header logo and blocks. Normal posts work fine. I'm not sure where to look for my mistake...maybe posting.php or includes/posting.php?

Here's another symptom....

It kinda posts cuz the topic shows up in my recent topics block. But it doesn't show up in the Glance mod or in the forums. If I back up and make it a Normal post it posts just as it should and shows up where it should, but then I have two of the same topics showing up in the recent topics block. The announcement I made goes to a link for a topic that doesn't exist and the Normal post works fine.

I'm using nuke 7.9 and phpbb 2.0.18

Sounds like there are discrepancies between your phpBB code and the supporting tables. Did you do any updates or patches?

Oh ya...if I hadn't I wouldn't have said "I broke it" LMAO I was hoping someone could tell me where to look for parts of the script that would affect this. My site is quite possibly one of the heaviliest modded sites around. So which hack did it exactly is anyones guess...so I'm asking for an answer saying to look back at any mods I may have added....I'm asking where I should look.

The site is www.icantlogin.com but stickies and announcement are for mods and admins so it does little good to test it that's why I tried to give as many details of the symptoms as I could.

Did upgrading to phpbb 2.0.19 break it? Because there is a change you have to make to some of the code to get it working again. I dont remember what that is off my head but I found the answer on phpbb forums.

pnclthnmstsh - Let me get this straight as I am having difficulty understanding your problem.
You have a heavily modified site using the worst (for bugs and security problems) possible version of phpNuke which you recently did some work to and with out giving any indication as to what modifications you have already in place or what modifications you recently tried to make, you want someone to take a 'guess' at what it was you did that broke it based on what is now broken?

I haven't upgraded 2.0.19 yet, that one is on the to-do list when I find the manual upgrade. I believe it was well after manually upgrading to 2.0.18. It was definitely a mod or hack of somekind that broke it. Thanks for the input Technocrat I've got a direction to look now Smile

Guardian, yes I know that now after reading the new hype about 7.9 Shortly after its release folks were saying that it was very tight and secure. Of course we all know better now but it's too late to go back (absolutely the worst mistake I made was going from 7.6 to 7.9 however 7.9 did fix many problems with .6 so I don't totally regret it) I wasn't asking for a guess, as I said in my first post...I don't know where to look for the problem and I was hoping to be pointed in the right direction to where I should look for where it seperates the three posting types. I know there's no cut n dry answer that anyone could give me. I'm just asking for a little guidance.

It's been awhile but I fixed the problem some time ago and thought I'd close this topic. I left a stray ; floating around in functions_post.php. I just happened to stumble on it one day and all is good again.
