guide to displaying .html

Guys i notice some phpnuke like ravensite show only .html not index anyidea how to do that? would appreciate if they r some set of guide thanks manz .i need it Wink

Im a but confused, perhaps you are referring to the url?

ok you see this forum posting url........ http://www.ravenphpscripts.com/posts11934-start-0.html is that what u call as short link.. anyway thanks to darklord and montego i will have a look at it. this short link can help cover up the url link from preying eyes.

Not sure what you really gain from that though. It is not going to stop a nuke hacker if that was your intent.

Shortening the links was thought to be important to help search engines crawl your site. Others felt it was nicer to have the shorter links for their users. To be quite honest, no-one can confirm nor deny the search engine benefit with facts (because the SE's won't tell you much of anything about HOW they actually do it - trade secrets) and the "nicer" part is simply a matter of choice.

I have a full "plate" and a very full "life". I do this as a hobby only, so, if I have time, I do things. But, I choose my "Projects" carefully.
