I also have the following problem:

In the Group admin, the simple permissions in the simple mode preferences won't display. The same happens when I go to advanced mode.

Why?? Confused

When I click on Usergroups I just get "No Groups Exist".

The permissions in Group admin appear just fine for me.

The point is that i created a hidden group, ow which I am moderator. When I try to add someone in that group I get the mentioned above error.
Maybe u can create a test usergroup of which u are the moderator and see if everything works...

Fixed Smile . Just open groupcp_info_body.tpl and groupcp_user_body.tpl and replace all instances of form method="get" to form method="post".

Anyway, I still have problems with user and usergroup permissions. In either Simple or advanded mode, the middle column(s) are blank Confused ! But I know for sure that there should be drop down menus... Sad

Do you really use 6.8 and what forums version ? The earlier non patched nuke versions had all the usergroups bug. DonĀ“t know exactly if thats your problem too or is it only the simple and advance drop down box ? I believe thats just a setting/permission thing in the forums administration.
