Are you using the default banners function? Which version of PHP-Nuke? Some of the enhancement modules for banners support flash, I think. |

and I just tried to add it under the banners panel in the administration. normal image types work just not flash.
I found a few other topics that people were having problems but as usual in these forums they just kinda dead end with no rea resolution. I found a few of people that had the exact same issue but they never state ok this is how you fix it.
Someone should really start a how-to section on how to fix a lot of these little annoyances. |

Default Nuke doesn't support flash banners - and currently RavenNuke uses the default banners function. But we are looking into changing the banners function.

Ok so
1: what are my options for getting flash banners to work?
2: What is keeping them from working in the first place? is it the coding?
that flash has for the class id and the object? |

There is code in the banners module that only displays graphics, so:
1. Your options are to use a banner replacement / enhanced banners module that supports flash banners or modify the code to do so.
2. The standard code only supports images. |

It is not on exposed server currently
What would casue something like this?
I can go into the banner control canel and change the size of the ad and make it say 20px taller and that brings it up to where the bottom is being cut off and it make the white at the top worse |

I found the problem. there is a blank .swf that the system uses and then it lays your flash banner on top of it. and my banner was of a different size than the blank swf. so when I made my banner the exact same size. and then tried it and it worked perfectly. so basicly I have to make the template blank swf the size that I want my banners to be. and then set that as the defalt size.
but thanx for the effort guys. |
