Does anyone know of a news module that has the facility to send the author the reason a news topic is rejected?

If not I'll have to write it in the existing core news module.

Nuke has that. When you pull up the News Submission screen there are a couple of links right beside the title. They are [ Email User | User Profile | Send Private Message ]. So, when you decide to reject the submission, just use one of them Smile
