Add mandatory location field to user signup page.

Hi folks I would like to add the location field to the user signup page and make it a mandatory field. I run 2 PHP Nuke sites and members are always on about the fact that people never put in their locations. Has anyone developed a mod to be able to do this?

I am aware of things like the approve membership mod but that would be way overkill and would screw up my freshly 3.3 patched Nuke 7.6 site. I'm not looking for anything fancy, I just want to add the 1 field to the user signup page.

Of course, you can do that with CNB YA, but if you want to do that with the standard module, you might need to add location to the nuke_users_temp table in addition to modifying some files.

Brilliant! What great module. Just being able to look up user accounts by email address alone is worth its weight in gold. CNB YA wouldn’t actually do what I was looking for out of the box because the data fields don’t carry over to the forum profile, but it wasn’t too terribly difficult to modify the code and the nuke_users_temp table in order to get it to work.
