Firstly, note that the install.txt gives you the impression that you should run cnbya.php before performing the mod on mainfile.php - do the mod first then log in as admin before running cnya.php to avoid getting the "Not logged in as admin" warning.

Perform the 1st time install action to create the db tables.

When you go to Modules Admin you may notice that there is no cnbya/user icon and an "Access Denied" notice.

Perform the mod to 'modules/Your_Account/admin/links.php' described by "kreagon" Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login!.

The cnbya/user icon should now appear but it might state 4.4.1, and when clicked on you a get a warning like "Your installation is 4.4.2 but your tables are 4.4.1 - upgrade to 4.4.2 before proceeding" - simply run cnbya.php again performing the 4.4.1 to 4.4.2 upgrade option, then delete cnbya.php.

The cnbya/user admin icon should now read 4.4.2 and everything should function correctly.

Thanks for that fade2gray, hopefully this should help people install CNBYA.

Wave

P.S. I like your site and phpGedView. I've been thinking of something like that for my family, but just haven't had chance to do some research. Looks like I'm going to have to try it out, darn it another distraction!!! Wink

Thanks for the encouragement jakec.

It obviously still needs a lot of work, but I'm hoping that installing cnbya is halfway step to getting the required first and last name fields for phpgv registration. I'm in no way a coder, so it's going to be a slow and painful hack. Bang Head
