Yes, I would recommend GCalendar especially since Gremmie is an active contributor here and his project is active. Always a good thing IMO... |

Got some interesting features in the works (long term). But probably at the end of the week I'll release a new version that makes navigating through the admin part of the module easier (less clicking). |

I have installed the G-Calender on our site which is running the latest Raven-Nuke release however I have to have the block in the top middle cos otherwise it is wider than the other blocks and looks odd.
I know there is a fix for it, can anyone help ??
Thx in advance and yes it is a groovy calender .. ;0) |

Add the CSS to themes/<your_theme>/style/style.css as mentioned in the docs.
You can just tack it on at the end of the file.
Clear your browser's cache after updating that file on your server so you will see the new CSS right away. (I can't tell you how many times this has bit me)
I opted to use CSS in GCalendar so people could go nuts and really change the appearance of the application. On the downside I am finding a lot of site admins aren't familiar with CSS. But once you figure it out (it isn't hard) you will have a lot of power to change the block and module to match your tastes without having to monkey with the PHP code. |

Thx Gremmie
I tagged it on the bottom and it made no difference when the block is on the side but did when it was on top. I changed the 100% setting which altered it when on the top but made no difference on the side of the website.
I even dropped it to 10% .. No difference .. :0( |

You are going to want to change the font size and the padding probably. Not the width. What theme is this? |

It is fiblack3d. I changed the font size down to 6 but never saw any difference.
This is what is at the bottom of the css file ...
table.gcal-block-cal {width: 100%; border-width: 1px; border-style: solid; border-color: black; font-size: 10px;}
I have altered the font size, no difference and I have altered the width which only changes when the block is in the top middle ?? |

Make sure you clear your browser's cache after every change to the .css file. What I do when troubleshooting CSS is change something obvious each time in addition to whatever I am tweaking. Like change the border color each time you change the font size to make sure you are seeing the current .css file and not a cached copy.
Can you provide a link to your site?
I wouldn't expect your width change to effect left or right blocks. It just expands the table to fill it's container table (the block). And you can't scrunch it down if the contents of the table prevent it. |

The link is ...
www.es-uk.co.uk
I will put the block on the right hand side ;0) |

Thanks that helps clear things up. I think your table headers (th tags) are getting styled from your theme. I think those are making the block too big.
Try styling it yourself. Start with something like this and tweak it to your tastes. Add this to your style.css file.
Code:
table.gcal-block-cal th {
color: white;
background-color: gray;
background-image: none;
text-align: center;
border-width: 1px;
padding: 2px;
font-size: 10px;
border-style: outset;
border-color: black;
}
|
Ajust the padding and font-size in the above...I just guessed.
(You can also style the links so that today's date appears differently in the mini-calendar. See the docs.) |

That's great! I would suggest you add back in the width: 100% to let it stretch across the whole block. |
