News suddenly not showing up in Home.

Some time in the past few weeks News items stopped showing up on the home page - when using Dolphins theme only. With all other themes on my site the News is showing up fine. Any ideas?

(I have just finished verifing the files with the original copy on my home computer and they all are identical - except header.html which I have not changed except to add our own banner, I changed it over a year ago. )

thats weird. If you have tested it with another theme, and the news shows. Then it surely must be Dolphin related.
The best thing i can offer in terms of advice, would be to re-upload a 'virgin' copy of the theme in its entireity. If it then works..alter the banner. If it then stops, something is going on with the header.

Ezekiel, does the footer show up like it is supposed to?

Either that or something on your server has changed and the theme no longer is compatible. I would rename the theme.php file of the Dolphin theme. Then I would put a theme.php file into it from another similar theme that works. Then rename all instances of the name of the theme, Dolphin, within the new theme.php file. If the theme then works you will know that something in the theme.php is incompatible with your site or your server. I wish you luck!

wiz, I thought of that but wanted to check here first because I seem to be plagued with ftp errors and have to go through each and every file to make sure it matches the original. Since I am lazy, I look around to try to find an easier fix first.

EDIT: Tried a fresh FTP, no go.

jaded, we did recently move our site to a new box.

EDIT: Bingo. Now I have some work to do to modify theme.php Crying or Very sad

You are most welcome. I figured it was server related. Sometimes odd things happen. I am glad that it is working now.
