I've just cloned the Content module as a Minutes module for my computer club.

That was an interesting experience. :/ ... especially when I finally figured out that add_category, edit_category and save_category functions and cases had to be renamed to minutes_add_category, minutes_edit_category, etc or else I was editing categories in the old content module.

Anyways, I've got it all working except for the link in the administration menu. It still says _MINUTES and I'm sure I've defined it correctly in the /modules/Minutes/admin/links.php file.

The language define works if I'm looking at the Minutes Admin page, but not when I'm looking at the Main Administration page, where the link to admin the Minutes module still says _MINUTES.

What have I missed?

You mean you put a language constant _MINUTES in the adminmenu() call in your links.php file?

I believe that for your main admin page, _MINUTES must be defined in a language file under admin/language/. See admin/language/lang-english.php, I think that is where you will find _CONTENT.

If this module is just for yourself I would just replace _MINUTES with 'Minutes'. Smile

Thanks Gremmie! I thought adding _MINUTES to the admin/language/ file would be the solution. So I'll do that. This isn't required for adding other modules, like gcalendar. ... <duh!> but it's the clone of the Content module! so, of course, I need to clone *all* the bits and not make up new bits. <I am blonde.>

Might be nuke-planet interest in such a module?
When I code for my domains, I try to keep in mind that sharing is all good... but, one can loose track of that goal quickly; 'for the planet' becomes another version with too few resources, like time.

And, besides cloning Content to Minutes, because Content was used for categorizing courses and sigs, there are a few other modules I need... Picture of the Week and Member of the Month.... There is already php code for these functions in the old code. Smile Finding that, rewriting in a new db on rn (presently one has no table, the other does) is high on the 'do/find by next week' wishlist.
