The problem I'm having is with a third party software. I am running Php-nuke 7.9 with patch 3.3 and nuke Sentinel 2.5.0.5 . I just restarted my site and installed the patch 3.3 and Nuke Sentinel. All is running great. When I was running php-nuke without the patch and sentinel, this third party software was running great. Now that the patch and Sentinel are installed, This third party software is having a problem writing to Mysql data. This is the error I get when trying to input data: (( [error] PHP Warning: mysql_fetch_row(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /public_html/includes/sql_layer.php on line 285 )) . I checked the mysql data base and noticed there is no data being written. My website is http://coopbz.com the third party software is a module called JO Stats. The input area giving me problems is with server Id. All other areas with data input work except this one area (server Id) . Has anyone had this error or had similar problems? I'm running out of ideas....The error I get comes up with every page pertaining to JO Stats. Thanks goes out to anyone willing to give me a little time on this issue...

edit: I took the size 18 and color out of this post .. fkelly

It's possible that the problem is related to Sentinel or the patch but that's not where I'd look first if I were you. The sql_layer.php file is pretty dated and we even considered eliminating it for Ravennuke 2.10 except for the fact that some 3rd party modules (such as yours) use it. In the case you are talking about, first a query of some sort is executed and then a "resource result" is passed to the function in sql_layer. If the query is unsuccessful then you will get the error you are seeing. So you need to go back and find out what query is failing and why. To do this is might be useful to turn error reporting on ... Montego recently posted how to do this with Ravennuke but you might have to take a slightly different approach with PHPnuke 7.9. In config.php display errors has to be set to true.

Even with that sometimes Mysql errors lurk with nothing displayed. So you might have to put some error checking into the 3rd party module code to see if there is a Mysql error occurring and echo it. Then trace it down and eliminate it.

Sorry to not be more definitive but I'm not running any of that software so it is hard to duplicate your situation.

I have moved this thread out of the RN specific forum and into the NukeSentinel one where I think it belongs.
