hello again xD...

well now i got a problem that .htaccess dont work and as i was reading in the HowToInstall it says it doesnt work yet.. why?

and then in the part where it says "In the Administrative Settings section you should see a drop down box beside Admin Auth:. Hopefully you will see "Off", "Admin HTTPAuth", and "Admin CGIAuth". It's okay if "Admin CGIAuth" is NOT there. Simply click "Admin HTTPAuth" and save the settings." i cant see "Admin HTTPAuth".

Sad.... help!

zerokooll, there is nothing wrong, per se, with NukeSentinel and .htaccess setup, it is more of what your host allows. I see that you do not have HTTPAuth available to you, so CGIAuth is your only bet.

You might want to search in the forums here (NukeSentinel forums) for how to set up CGIAuth, but if you can tell us more what is or is not happening that might help. Are you getting any error messages? What is happening?

Slow down buchwheat (lol)... you can just comment out these lines and you will no longer get the pop-up...

Code:

# <Files admin.php>
#    <Limit GET POST PUT>
#       require valid-user
#    </Limit>
#    AuthName "Restricted"
#    AuthType Basic
#   AuthUserFile /path/to/your/.staccess
# </Files>

Let us first get rid of the admin.php protection, check to make sure you can log in with your God account, to make sure there is no issue with nuke.

But, PLEASE comment out what I have asked you to comment out if you have not already done so to test this out.

By chance did your admin userid and/or password have any special characters in them or spaces? If so, I wonder if that could be it.

Sounds like an issue with Cookies, really.
If your being continually looped back to admin panel, try deleting all cookies, and logging in again.

Ok, just try the above then for now as I must leave work and will not be back on the boards until the morning (my time). I'll check back with you then to see how things are going.

I just found that there was a lowercase/uppercase mistake in the path to the .htaccess...

but somehow is still not showing me a pop-up

ok now I get the pop-up all I did was delete both .htaccess and .staccess and upload them again and paste the code for the auth security.

Now the problem I have is that is not acepting the password and user I input and I am sure this is the correct details because I sent an Email to my inbox with the auth password and user being used.

zerokooll, you must have NukeSentinel write the hashed password into the .staccess file. The instructions for doing this is in the HowToInstall manual. Check your .staccess file and if its empty, that is your problem.
