downloads problem

when i place in add download the URL to the precise download destination, then press 'check' all i get is a 404 page.

Bypassing this and saving changes anyway, i then went to the download, hoping to download the file, only to also be faced with a problem with the passcode; it doesn't show at all.

I have tried countless times refreshing the page, but still no passcode shows.

I am using nsn gr downloads, and gathered this was a slight bug, that actually is a big issue, as no passcode no download.

Could anyway please kindly advise me.

OK to get it to work, do as the instructions say except the getit.php changes, change

if ($dl_config['usegfxcheck'] == 1) {

to

if ($dl_config) {

I believe it does work correctly if you have use security code set to yes in downloads configuration. If you have it set to no, than you will get the error because it is also set in rnconfig.

If you use my suggestion, only rnconfig will control the security code and not the downloads configuration also.

i have followed all instructions, with the go.php and instead of the get.php changes, i input what you said above, and tried both, but still the passcode does not work at all, and for some reason neither does the download link under check.

I just tried directly downloading the file from cpanel file directory, but neither will the download work, all i get is this error:

I have set the permissions on the downloads directory i have put downloads in to 777, but still i can not get the download to work, or the passcode?

Any further advice would really be appreciated, as i thought maybe could the reason why the passcode won't work is due to the downloads not working (?a perhaps).

Two things I would look at would be if you have ShortLinks set to true, you need to do some changes for it to work with nsn gr downloads. Also to run the install script that came with nsn gr downloads, you have to make a few changes in the nsngd_installer before it works with RavenNuke(tm). If you have done those two things plus the changes mentioned above, it should work for you.

What changes would have to be made to the installer of nsn gr downloads, because at present i already have everything installed. Would you suggest reinstalling or not? but mainly what are the changes that need to be made to the installer.

At present the module seems to only be partly working; all interface such as admin and the module works, its just the passcode doesn't seem to be working, although Montego bless him as helped me with his advice, but nothings working so far.

i have even installed Montego's NSN GR Downloads Tap from his website, still i see the same thing.

Everything working, but the ability for the passcode and download to work, is void.

Why? I can't understand why this downloads module won't work.

Any suggestions please.

I couldn't get the nsngd.php to load up the database until I commented out the references to include (header.php) and the include (footer.php) references in the files located in the nsngd_installer directory.

If when you ran the nsngd.php after installing all the files that came with the NSN GR Downloads module and you were taken to a page that asked if this was the first time you were installing the database and you clicked the install button and you were told it loaded and you need to delete the nsngd.php file, it is done. If when you ran it and you were redirected back to your home page, it did not load. You would need to // comment out the references to include header and footer in those files inside the installer folder and run it again.

I hope you can understand what I'm trying to say, if not PM me and I will be glad to walk you through it.

Installer works fine, the module works fine, its only the part when it comes to downloading the file, that seems to not be working.

pureliving - why are you asking about the same problem in multiple threads and then in yet another thread asking which Downloads module to use?
Before I lose my mind, please decide which module you are going to use as I do not really want people spending what little time they have in dealing with this, only for you to use something else tomorrow.

Sorry Guardian, yesterday and part of today felt like an headache, after a few days of not getting this to work.

Thanks to my hosts analysis i managed to solve this issue.

Thanks anyway Guardian but i have not changed my mind whatsoever about what downloads module to use; i am using NSN GR Downloads and that's what i've tried to use from day 1, my other questions were just wonders from seeing many debates over the separate modules, and i just wanted to get to the bottom of what others generally think.

Just showing a massive interest in Nuke, RN, and all facilities workable recently, wanted to get an overall perspective.

Sorry if this has annoyed you slightly. eerh!
