I recently upgraded to 7.6 pl 3.3 and upgraded Sentinel to 2.0.0.7
Ever since then I cannot post news properly.
Every hyperlink in the news story is preceded by my website address.
For instance if I post a link to an image, when previewing, the image does not show because the path that it is saving during preview and posting of news articles is:

http://www.mysite.com/%5C/images/banners/waterskimagmay2007.jpg%5C

I have no idea what the %5C are for??
I am simply previewing this:
<img src="/images/banners/waterskimagmay2007.jpg">

Also, every time I preview again, it adds slashes to the hyperlinks
like this:
<img src="\/images/banners/waterskimagmay2007.jpg\">

If I hit preview again it shows this:
<img src="\\\/images/banners/waterskimagmay2007.jpg\\\">

Also, a few Admin Modules, Like News, Submissions, Content, FAQ, Reviews, Topics, Surveys, Weblinks ALL show the right blocks...they never did before??? Crazy!
I have tried reverting back to 7.6 pl3.2 to no avail. I have tried restoring my database back to before the upgrade, no change. I did notice in the upgrade.php script that comes with pl3.3, there are alterations to the _stories table...

perplexed... Rolling Eyes

SHOOT!
Again, I posted in haste! Embarassed

http://www.ravenphpscripts.com/posts11537-highlight-5c.html

I forgot my host just did some upgrading to their CGI-pool. I check my custom php.ini and sure enough magic_quotes was on and the news posting seems to be ok now. However I still show right blocks in the admin modules I mentioned above...is this normal? I do't' recall ever seeing right blocks in my admin area.

I'll have to think about this some more (sorry, still at work), but I agree with you as I cannot recall right blocks ever being enabled while in admin.

However, my "gut" tells me that it is your theme. Is it possible that your previously installation was not caught up with the nuke patches? How right blocks were handled was changed somewhere in the 3.0/3.1 timeframe (I think).
