I downgraded from phpnuke 8 to raven7.6 (or upgraded, however you look at it) and now i am unable to change user permissions.

I changed the nuke version manualy (backed up database, wiped server and database, new install of raven 7.6 and manualy restored table data)

So this may be my fault as im quite a newb at this sort of thing. sometimes i get the error message

Could not obtain moderator status

DEBUG MODE

SQL Error : 1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ') AND aa.group_id = ug.group_id AND aa.auth_mod = 1

SELECT ug.user_id, COUNT(auth_mod) AS is_auth_mod FROM nuke_bbauth_access aa, nuke_bbuser_group ug WHERE ug.user_id IN () AND aa.group_id = ug.group_id AND aa.auth_mod = 1 GROUP BY ug.user_id

Line : 524
File : admin_ug_auth.php

Ive searched the forum and could only find referance to 7.2 and didnt know if the same fix would work with 7.6
Thanks for any help you guys can offer, and thanks for a great release!

krustymk, what BBtoNuke version did you have in your previous 8.0 install?

There was a downgrader script for 7.9 floating around in the forums (from Gremmie) that might have helped.

Another thing you could try is on a local PC setup, load your database and then a fresh 2.10 database and use mySQLDiff to compare the two table structures to see where the discrepancies are.

Thanks for your speedy response
I dont know the version of BBtoNuke i was using, only that it was the latest a week ago(not counting any beta versions)

I tried the 7.9 downgrade script and just got an error message each time it ran (it completed each time but didnt change any tables) researched a little and found several posts with the same error and no reports of success on 8.0 hence the manual attempt.

The local PC setup looks my most promising way forward then, never done that before but might be fun haha
Can you or anyone else offer advise on which tools i will need to setup a local PC setup and find this problem.

Thanks again for your help

Just install the latest XAMPP and you will have everything that you need. If you use the installer version, everything is set up for you just like that. Wink

XAMPP is an awesome piece of software - should be recommended to ALL users of RavenNuke so they can test things locally - Great Recommendation guys!

You are welcome. That tool in combination with mySQLDiff and a good file comparison utility at your "best friends". Wink
