I just found out that all download links in module top.html are wrong and produce a 404.
The links points for example to:mysite.com/downloadview-details-2-C-C-X-Mas.html
How do I change the top modul to get the correct download links and possible counts for NSN GR Downloads ?
Beneed this the short links for page 2,3,4,5, within categories of the download modul are also wrong.
Short links look like this:mysite.com/downloads.html?min=10&cid=4
Is there a changed .htaccess available ?
Beneed this I´m thinking about to use again the original download modul. How would I go back to the standard download modul ? |

Yes, you are right, it looks like there were no code file edits made for NSN GR Downloads to the Top module. Bob had changed the links somewhat for his version of the downloads.
Yes, I know, I know about the shortlinks issue. You raised that with me quite awhile back. Sorry that I have not addressed that as yet. I have to stop going on vacation... I will have to work on that this week (I know, where have you heard that before... ).
Regarding going back, are the above reasons the only reasons why? If so, let us work together to get these fixed. However, if you are really wanting to go back, you will have to reverse the core file edits and then I would suggest just deleting the Downloads directory and replace it with the core nuke one. The data is another story. You would have to reverse engineer the original code that did the copy of the data over to the NSN tables. I think the core data and tables are very similar, so should not be too difficult to do. |

I have already worked on this module hours and hours but its just a frustrating thing because every time I touch this downloads module I can find some more new errors.
I´ll not report every error I found but there are many issues using this modul.
I didn´t know that I have to change the code within the top module and therefore I have to deal now with hundred of death links in search engines. That´s not so cool.
Also it's a great pity the dynamic titles within this module doesn´t work, its not search engine friendly and I lost already my rank for some kw I used in the standard downloads modul before.
I´ll delete the wrong rewrite rules within the .htaccess, comment out the code in the top modul and maybe I´ll try to find an other downloads module for one of my websites. |

I am definitely sorry to hear that! I wish I knew what issues you found as I am only aware of a few and I have been using the module for years. But, then again, I do not have tons of downloads. I would be interested in seeing a list of issues if you think that you could remember most of them. I will capture in my bug tracker so that they get resolved. (You know where to get a hold of me if you want to do this in private.)

I didn't know this either, probably because I have never used that module. I have added this to the bug tracker to provide core file edits for this. Shouldn't be too difficult to fix.

Sure wish you had asked... this code is for version 1.1.0 of DT, but only because of the "elseif"; the rest of it should work just fine with any version of DT.
Code:
Well, thought that I had it on my site! Turns out, it is the same version for regular PHP-Nuke/RavenNuke(tm), so I am editing this post and will post the final NSN GR Downloads version tomorrow.

Again, this is the first I have heard of the Top module issues. My links are broken too. I'll work on this today/tomorrow. |

Sorry, had to remove the DT code above in my post! Thought that I would have caught that on my site, but I had not. I will post the fixed code tomorrow! |
