To turn off module of nuke Topics

Hello!
He/she/you has as turning off module of nuke Topics.
The images of topics occupy a lot of space of the news, and they pollute the visual a lot in certain cases.
My site is of news of the local city, you announce state, you announce federal and world news.
Q are only varied news and he/she doesn't have to do anything with the topics.
Because I use image miniature in the beginning of each you announce in the home.
my desire was of could turn off to tables of database of topics. to turn off modules, to turn off everything of topics.
and not only to disable, but to turn off everything of nuke topics. to be cleaner.

Generally if you simply remove a directory containing a module from the /modules directory the system will delete the module from the modules table the next time you go into /admin/modules/. If I were going to do this with topics however I'd do it on a purely test system to make sure there were not negative effects. I'm thinking that possibly other modules such as news look for topics and if they aren't there ... well we used to say in IBM mainframe days, "results could be unpredictable". So try it on a test system that has some real data and give it a good going over and post back your results.

qaona, I personally feel that the better option is to modify your theme files to not show the topic icon. Topics and News are so intertwined that I would be very concerned about trying to remove topics. JMO though.

Did something like this, just replaced the nuke image with 1x1 background image (merged). I did tried removing the picture but somthing happened which i cannont remember at this time.

Again, as montego said, I think the best thing to do would be to modify the theme as it is the one that controls the display of the topic icon.
