Ok this is odd. Easyup-Nuke module worked fine in RV2.02.02 after update to RN 2.10.01 its not working, can no longer upload images or files to website from within Admin. Also the FCKeditor doesn't upload any images or files. I have checked the directory permissions and can FTP files into all the directories with FileZilla and once in the directory I can see them and add them within the editor. I have tried both Firefox 2 and IE6.
Any ideas?

I doubt it's a browser issue. Not sure why you can't upload via FCKeditor, or why going from 2.02 to 2.10 would affect it. What does your site error log say? |

I don't mean to steal this thread, but I've had some people lose permissions on directories before, so please check to make sure the image upload directory is still at 777.
Edited: Sorry, ignore this. I need more coffee.... |

I think I need something stronger ......
That was the first thing I checked on both the FCKeditor upload directories and also the directories for EasyUp Nuke which worked perfectly before the upgrade. I didn't use the WYSIWYG editor in RN 2.0.2 so don't know if this is a new problem or not.
I have found that I'm also having problems with Gallery 1, when I try to add new photos as admin it pops up a new window and tells me that module doesnt exist.
Also in the FCKeditor I have a .htaccess file which is supposed to be used in some Firefox (my browser) Linux sites to map the JS, should this be in the /FCKeditor directory or in /FCKeditor/editor directory ?
I have now given up with plowing through the Raven Forum, so going to look over the FCKeditor site, see if what trouble I can cause.
By the way does anyone know of a RN 2.10.01 compatible Shoutbox module. The original v8.5.2 site seems to have vanished.
All the best back soooooonnnnnn. |

The fact that you are having problems with Easyup-Nuke and Gallery would suggest to me that something may have been changed by your host, which is causing your problems.
Do you know if they have altered anything recently?
Also is anything showing up in your logs? |

Yes, your host could have disabled PHP uploads or changed file size limits in the php.ini file. |

Ok one step forward. You are correct they had messed about with the php Upload_tmp_dir and sessions_save_path settings. I have now set up the tmp directory in the root of the site and changed the php variables. So far it looks like its working, but its early days.
Doesn't seem to have fixed the gallery1 problem, still getting the sorry that module was not found error in a new pop up window. Not sure if i should go straight for the upgrade to gallery 2.2.2 or wait for the RN 2.20.0 distro to be released.

Trying to stay on topic... I suspect that the error log would indicated a problem with the php.ini settings and / or temp directory. Either way, I'm glad it's working.
As for the shoutbox, there are a few that supposedly work with Nuke (I haven't tested, but have seen some sites that have this). But I've heard there are security concerns with this function (or how it was implemented) so check the forums here and / or on the sites of the shoutbox addons to verify.
I also don't use gallery, but it sound like this is a different issue (configuration or installation?). For planning purposes, we may consider a gallery addon for 2.20, but that hasn't been confirmed. |
