fck_editor permissions

I can upload, create directories but the file permissions are 600 and i can't view them unless they are at 644. Is there a way to set permissions on the files i upload through the editor?

That's a new one... It sounds like some sort of server setting, unless something changed in the includes/FCKeditor/fckconfig.js or includes/FCKeditor/editor/filemanager/upload/php/config.php file (I couldn't find any). It might be controlled by an .htaccess file, too, but I don't think I've ever seen that done and am not sure it's possible.
