Resend Email

Hi guys, after your help the other day Im getting on really well !! thanks

But I have found something I thought I'd mention

The Resend Email module is setup to call to 'Prefix' for the temp user data which is fine but if you have a different prefix for your user tables it does not work because I think it needs to be changed to User_prefix

If that makes any sense !!

I have my prefix setup as Nuke1 but my user table and temp user table are set to Nuke prefix so I can have two sites working off one set of user tables

and I had to change the code slightly to pick up the right tables

Once again I have to say thanks to all involved as this version of nuke is bullet proof !!

You are correct. I have on my "to do" list killing me

to update all of my scripts in various ways and that's one of them. Thanks once again!

Hi Raven.
I am just startin making a site using RavenNuke 2.10.01, and are a newbe..
Have earlier used PCNuke, end are trying to get the admin to approve all new members. Read in one other post (that i cant find now..)that the Resend Email module was the answer to this, but cant get that to work.
Is there a way that i can have the activation email sent after the admin have approved the new user?

(Sorry if there is another post that answers this that i havent seen..)

You will need to use something like the Approve Membership module, or CNBYA, to approve new members before they get the activation email.

I believe Montego has produced an Approved Membership Lite module as well.

The Resend Email mod is for controlling the users_temp queue. It allows you to resend the confirmation email with a new authorization code. It also allows you to delete records from the queue (table). You can also change the email address that the user used to sign up, in the event that they made a typo or whatever. And, you also are able to activate the user's account. It possibly could be used as you stated although that is not what it was designed to do. You could try setting the Enable account activation setting in your forum configuration to NONE or ADMIN. Then, I think, it might work Smile
