I've got a ticket in with my host tech support. But when I install Ravennuke I can't reach the site unless I put HTML on the domain name. The one response was that I put it in the wrong folder. They said I put it in the public_html/html folder. I told them I always put it in the public_html folder and the files in the public_html/html were put there by the program. Does this have somethng to do with the way Ravennuke installs or is it a host issue? If I use the Fanstastico program my host has it loads nuke 7.9, but it doesn't come up with the HTML extension on the domain. |

If you copied the html directory (instead of everything below the html directory) to the public_html, that would explain it. Check your public_html directory. If there is only an html directory there, move everything below it up to the public_html directory.
In other words, if you have domain.tld/html/index.php, you should have domain.tld/index.php. |

Looks like you might've missed part of the installation instructions. You just need to copy the /html directory to your root directory. Remove everything from your root directory except the html directory, then move everything in the html directory up to the root directory. Or, delete everything and just copy the contents of the html directory to your root directory (public_html). |

Maybe for future updates, the RN package should have 'html' as 'public_html'. I know out of the many that use it, this is the first (probably) topic about this issue. However it might avoid confusion in the future? |

The phpNuke package uses "html" ... I think we should stick with that.
"public_html" is used in CPanel, Plesk uses "httpdocs".. other control panels may use different ones.
Yes I know some people have it preinstalled with Fantastico, but honestly.. people need to be able to reinstall from the original phpNuke packages. |

You see, thats why you guys are moderators
I thought it was a nice suggestion, but you know the bigger picture and that is much appreciated.
I have Fantastico from my 'Fantastico' host , but really its not the way to go unless you know nothing about sites and nothing about what u want, obviously u are registered here, so neither apply |

Yeah, and then you are never quite sure just how well they are keeping up on the patches (if at all). I am just now getting into that as I finally have broken my web hosting "silence" and have since given my sister an account on my server.... oh my, look out... I am still considering diabling Fantastico altogether for her. LOL. |
