I'm getting quite a few IP's in my banned list because of proxies. I have the setting set at Max, but it doesn't do anything.

Well, from the help text:

Quote:

Activate Proxy blocker.
3 levels are provided:
Lite - Traps the most obvious proxies.
Mild - Traps less obvious proxies.
Strong - Traps most proxies.

This is not 100% as proxies change their way of working daily.

Unfortunately, I have never used it, so not sure what you mean by both "banned list because of proxies" vs. "but it doesn't do anything". These sound contradicting to me. Can you explain what you mean a bit more? Thank you.

What I mean is I have to keep adding IP's to my banned list because there are people logging on with proxy's I have the settings set to "STRONG". But it doesn't stop anything. I've tried it myself with a proxy.

Oh, ok, I see. Unfortunately, I think the highlighted text above explains it.. Sad I don't think it has been Bob's priority to try and keep up with all the proxies out there and how to recognize them. Let us see if he sees this within the next few days. If not, PM him to have a look at this thread.

There are so-called "stealth" proxies that give no signs away that they are a proxy. Hard to block, really the only way to detect is to compare to a database of known proxy activities. There are many block lists that help with that.
