Hi Guyz, I didnt see an obvious post about this before so sorry if there is one, But, My forum won't display properly it's really strange, The only style it will work with is subSilver and Sunset any introduction of a new style messes it all up for some reason...Hopefully someone has some ideas coz I'm stumped...

[EDIT] I was just thinking maybe it has something to do with it opening into a frame...it may be that it's too small for it or something...Anyone know how adjust the forum link so it opens in it's own page? Or opens up another window with only the forum without the frames?

Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login!

Oh P.S. This theme is eXG and the forum is AcidTech, But I have tried about 5 or 6 others and they all come out the same on whatever theme I use...

Thanks.
Cy.

Do the themes you are talking about come with a forums directory? You seem like you know this but, the way Nuke does "themes" and the way Forums does "templates" are completely different and any marriage between them is one of convenience. Right now in Ravennuke 2.10, only fisubice and deepblue and Sunset have their own corresponding forums templates. The rest default to using subSilver which comes from the PHPBB group.

Ya I've kinda worked around it now, I couldn't find anywhere in the code that looked like it would make the forum open in a fresh page or new window so I had a bit of a brainstorm and tried taking the Fisubice forums that are included in the theme and changed all the image links in the .tpl files to reference my own themes folder (Where the forum folder is) and then uploaded it to my eXG theme folder, And it seems to work ok now.
I just need to find out how to change all the colours to my own website colours now Laughing I think I have to change all the references through the styles and .tpl files, Unless anyone knows of a quick fix coz thats gonna take forever doing it that way and I dont think the Styles management in the admin section does anything so, It's a long day tomorrow Razz

If the forum css is vastly different from the theme css then you get the effect that you are having. The a: hover, a: active, etc.. conflict when the forums is accessed because the forum css takes over. The easiest way to correct this is to display both css sheets side-by-side and make sure that the colors are the same for both.
