Forum Users being marked "inactive" out of nowhere

Running latest RN and Sentinel.

Have had an issue that has come up a couple times now. For some reason a couple of my users had their forums profile marked as "inactive" even though no admin had changed the setting. This leaves them unable to access PM's and the boards, but can still login to site.

any idea what could be causing it?

we have had almost daily cross-site scripting attacks lately (mostly script kid stuff) - not sure if they could be related. Looked thru the attacks and didnt see any attacks (that were caught) on the specific accts that had the issue.

Any input is appreciated

How are they getting marked as inactive? I presume you have made some modifications to the core code?

That happens automatically if they changed their email address and is standard nuke.
