Migrating

I've been running ravenuke for so long, that I don't remember the version that I have installed. I do know that it's not 2.10.01 though. I do have a few quick issues that I hope can be resolved easily.

I setup a new database and installed 2.10.01 into a new directory. I'd like to copy only my users and boards to the new site, the other stuff really doesn't matter. If I export the old DB and import it into my new site, will there be un-needed tables copied over too? I want to avoid corrupting my new install, so would I only copy data, or structure too? At the babre minimum, what tables need to move to get the boards and users over?

Lastly, how would I get my new directory to be read from the main url of my site? Is it something to do with htaccess?

Check the version number in your config table.

There may be some table changes to the users and forums, I would use something like MysqlDiff to compare them

The easiest way is just to move the files into the root, if that's where you want your website to appear. You can do that in your FTP client rather easily. No mess with .htaccess stuff Smile
