Hey Guys been a while
1st I was wondering, as it's been a while since I used RN, how to disable security code in Admin login page ? 2nd I wanna completely remove the need to register to view content as I'll be using it just as a portal to post news about my forums. 3rd I wanna see how I can use the feeds in such a way that they post in the messages automatically if it's possible. And finally is it possible to integrate it to IPB ?
Appreciated |

psychoses, I struggled a bit with where to move this as these questions are really general nuke in nature. I can answer a couple of these... not sure all of them. Here we go:

Are you sure that you want to? If so, take a look at the settings for $gfx_chk in config.php.

Then you just set all your desired content modules to "All Visitors"...

I don't understand what you are wanting to do. Needs more explanation.

Don't know. You would have to search for such an integration. You would use NukeWrap to wrap IPB into a nuke module, but you lose all benefits of search engine crawling and indexing then. It might also be possible for one of your IPB pages to get linked from an external site, which could drive the crawlers to crawl your IPB pages, but when a user clicks on those indexed pages, they will not be taken to your nuke site, but to your direct IPB site. |

Ok, I want feeds to post the news in the messages section so they appear on the main page .. if it ain't possible it's ok ... I'm kinda lazy that's y ...
As far as the IPB integration goes I made the forum module link to my IPB but What I'm wondering will I loose search engine crawling & indexing that way ? My nuke site is not my main site it's just a portal to let my members know the latest forum changes ... I want search engines to crawl my forums more than the RN part ...

Can't you set the News module to the Homepage?
Or create a block of your News feed and make it a center block. |

I'm not sure there is an answer, I have never heard of an IPB intergration.
If your IPB is on a subdomain, or another domain it should still be possible for the pages to be crawled seperately from your Nuke site. Therefore you could do as Montego suggested and use Nukewrap to display IPB in Nuke. |

Yes, I don't see why not, but I stand to be corrected. |

Not sure on the splash page. Doubtful it has any affect other than being an annoyance to those you do not like such things (ME - lol).
As long as Google can "see" your forums from some other crawlable page, I don't see why not. But, I have a feeling that many SE's won't like redirects. You might instead want to simply change your forum links to be hard coded to go to your forums. You could do this my hard-coding the link in your theme (if you have a nav bar at the top) and using something like Sommaire for your navigation pane where you can use external links. JMO. |
