Hi fellas,
I have 2 gaming/community info websites that I am using Ravennuke and I really like it. We are now preparing to have our business website developed and was wondering which CMS is better suited for this. We will be selling and advertising our products online and will be using paypal and credit cards as the form of payments. There will be minimal to zero use of a forum on this site. Before we go in any further in pursuing our business website, I'd like to hear your input on which CMS is recommended for this.
Thanks in advance,

Is it a web store? If so, you might look into something like osCommerce (there are several enhanced distributions for this, too). |

We have a Berry Farm. The site would be for a prescence on the web and also to sell jams and jellies over the internet in gift pack form. Credit card and paypal will be used for payment.
I am still green so I could use some suggestions.
Thanks in advance.

It is pretty easy to put together a static content module page that has the paypal buttons for selling a few items. Alternatively you could make a module to display them too. I've done that before. |

Although you could use RavenNuke, my personal recommendation would be to use a dedicated e-commerce system if you are purely using the site for sales.
CubeCart and one of the enhanced osCommerse distro's spring to mind.
Make sure it has the features you require and is flexible enough for you to maximise search engine optimisation techniques - one example is product image uploads, some 'stores' do not allow you to add ALT tags etc.. |

Well if you are just going to sell a few items with Paypal, it is okay, but somewhat of a manual process. I bet the things Guardian mentioned would be easier to use, although I have no experience with them. |
