news and embedding code

i did fresh install of 2.20 and everything works fine except for when i add code into a news post it only shows the code. I am trying to embed a player into a article but the code only shows. i have also tried to use the code to link a image but get only code to show. It all worked fine on previous version , but not now. Any help is appriciated

I can't speak to the player issue. If you use the insert image feature of the wysiwyg editor while creating the news article it works fine. You just need to put the correct link to where the image is stored into the drop down box that the insert image feature of the editor provides. If you really know what you are doing you can use the Source feature of the editor to type in the HTML source code (the brackets and image tags etc.) but then you need to switch back out of source before you save. It is much easier to just use the insert image feature.

If you are iconically impaired the way I am, then it may help to know that this is the fourth icon in the second row of the editor and when you mouse over it, it says insert/edit image.
