Sorry to be a bug but it seems I have one.
I tested a signup, using my own email addy. I got the email and clicked on the link but can't sign in.
The email included an assigned password, although I had put in my own. I tried signing in with my own password and the assigned password. Nothing works.

Well, 2.20.xx has been out for a long time and this is definitely a "first". I would seriously question whether all of your files were uploaded correctly. Please try using FileZilla (free from sourceforge.net) and re-upload all your files. If your server is a Linux server, force the upload to be all BINARY. See if this works.
