It is actually integrated into numerous files. Is there a reason you cant just deactivate it in the forums admin area?

yep, the forum admin area which has the settings doesnt work, i get an error about a file missing from the sunset template!
I followed the readme install instructions and just choose the first option (not needing to go past the alternative instructions after the 'or')
But if you do carry on reading and go to the bottom you'll find this little nuggut

NOTE: Only fisubice and DeepBlue/subSilver have been modified.
For any custom themes or template, follow the directions from
the subSilver changes using STEP NUMBER III directions.

If i had met the guy who choose to put that AFTER an optional step .. Well lets just say i was very unhappy Evil or Very Mad

STEP NUMBER III is far more than i am willing/able to do.

Whatever possessed this guy to not put that NOTE at the begining!!!

And this is also why we continually espouse that you take backups of your database and files BEFORE you install anything! it is also why we continually tell people to get themselves XAMPP and have a copy of their site running locally on their PC so that they can test this stuff ahead of time.

I realize that it is not much consolation for you, but the attachment mod is coming fully integrated and fully tested within the upcoming RavenNuke 2.3.0 release.

PM me your email address and I'll send you a zipped up copy of what I am thinking is a fully functional sunset template.

This might help but I haven't tried it. For the interim try switching to the fisubice theme and doing the maintenance there. Then switch back to Sunset.

You don't need to uninstall the mod, and even if you did, simply follow the directions you used to install it in reverse.

What you need to do, is follow the instructions for adding it, and do those same mods, that were done to the subSilver template, to the sunset template, and copy all the files in AddOnFiles/attachment_mod/html/modules/Forums/templates/subSilver/*.* into /modules/Forums/templates/sunset.

The easiest solution is to use a file compare program, I use BeyondCompare (for instance), and compare /modules/Forums/templates/subSilver with /modules/Forums/templates/sunset.

It's pretty sad, that I don't even use RN, and yet I could come up with this solution.... Surprised

EDIT:
After looking further at the files, simply do this...

copy all the files in AddOnFiles/attachment_mod/html/modules/Forums/templates/subSilver/*.* to /modules/Forums/templates/sunset.
copy all the files in AddOnFiles/attachment_mod/modded/modules/Forums/templates/subSilver/*.* to /modules/Forums/templates/sunset.

Cheers
Which is exactly what we have done for the RN v2.30.00 release Wink

Well slick! seemed like a constructive reply until the 'It's pretty sad, that I don't even use RN, and yet I could come up with this solution.... ' comment.. one word sprung to mind, but its a bad word and i'd get told off!

I was using the fiblack3d theme and every instruction i looked at didnt match the contents of the file they refered to so it became obvious fast that it wasnt going to be easy.
Also im interested in the command for running a script in reverse, would you mind enlighting me?

Thanks for the file montego!! I had copied the missing files from the subsilver template across into the sunset folder already and that seemed to get it working, although the attachement option is not available from the forum post bit... with your new release just round the corner ill wait rather than make things worse lol

HI Raven, i have switched to the fisubice theme already(did it pretty much straight away as that was said to be compatable), the admin section of the forum calls to the sunset template no matter what theme is selected in the 'Your Account' section.
everything seems to be working at the moment, so i think ill chalk this one up as a lesson learned and look forward to seeing how the big guys do it in the new release when it comes out.
Thanks for your help

Raven
