If it was, and now it's not, and assuming you haven't made any chantes, then your ISP/mail-program/mail-server would be the first suspect. |

Helo Raven its me again
i have 3 mails like this one below :
A message that you sent contained no recipient addresses, and therefore no
delivery could be attempted.
------ This is a copy of your message, including all the headers. ------
To:
Subject: Confirmation Code for gers_boyTagz
From: contact@mysite.net
X-Mailer: PHP/4.3.3
Message-Id: <E1BT0tj-0007Z2-2q@host.linuxsv8.net>
X-rewrote-sender: nobody@host.linuxsv8.net
Date: Wed, 26 May 2004 09:04:55 -0700
The user account 'gers_boyTagz' at mysite.net has this email associated with it. A Web user from 81.131.38.131 has just requested a Confirmation Code to change the password.
Your Confirmation Code is:
With this code you can now assign a new password at http://www.mysite.net/modules.php?name=Your_Account&op=pass_lost
If you didn't asked for this, don't worry. Just delete this Email.
i checked and see 3 peoples is in my nuke_users_temp
is this again coz of my host company mail server
thx
edit-----------------------------
now had this one when typing this topic
A message that you sent contained no recipient addresses, and therefore no
delivery could be attempted.
------ This is a copy of your message, including all the headers. ------
To:
Subject: User Password for gers_boy_tagz
From: contact@mysite.net
X-Mailer: PHP/4.3.3
Message-Id: <E1BT18D-0000NB-JZ@host.linuxsv8.net>
X-rewrote-sender: nobody@host.linuxsv8.net
Date: Wed, 26 May 2004 09:19:53 -0700
The user account 'gers_boy_tagz' at mysite.net has this email associated with it. A Web user from 81.131.38.131 has just requested that password be sent.
Your new Password is: xxxxxxx
You can change it after you login at http://www.mysite.net/modules.php?name=Your_Account
If you didn't asked for this, don't worry. You are seeing this message, not 'them'. If this was an error just login with your new password.

It looks like your host may have tightened the screws in Sendmail or whatever your email program is. The fact that there is no "To" leads me to believe that your mail program is intercepting that mail address, doesn't like it, and substitutes nobody@host.linuxsv8.net. Do you know how to send an email via telnet? If so, you can test it real easily. |

Save this code to a file and name it emailTest.php. Then ftp it to your root html directory. Then call it in your browser http://www.yourdomain.com/emailTest.php . This has nothing to do with nuke and will test if your mail program works with that address.Code:<?
$toAddress = "PUT THAT EMAIL ADDRESS HERE";
mail($toAddress,"Msg from: ".$_SERVER['SERVER_NAME'],"This is a test message");
?>

No, you have to test one of those email addresses that your new user is trying to register with and you are getting the email instead of them. |

ty Gaylen do u think to update your mail activation hack for 7.3 i think that hack is very useful for all versions of nuke or FB should give us that option as default for admins who has problems like i have.and my site isnt about php nuke so that registration steps confuses my visitors
