I would suggest removing .htaccess
If that solves your problem, then one (or more) of the .htaccess lnes is not allowed by your server and you'd have to go through them to figure out which one. |

But isn't .htaccess needed for nuke sentinel to work properly? |

At first we need to work out what is causing the problem, so try what Evaders said and let us know.
You might also want to contact your host to see if they are restricting anything. |

They are useless wish i had never gone with them they only ever reply a ticket so you have to wait ages, they say for security and performance reasons they can't change their settings. |

So if the .htaccess is blank it doesn't work? |

Would appear so, I just open the file commented out all the lines saved it and got a 500 error. But if I delete the file totally I get to access the other files normally. |

You can still use Sentinel without .htaccess. You don't get the added admin protection though.
Plus you can't do things in .htaccess like mod_rewrite (for Short Links) |

So why would a hosting company disable there servers from using .htaccess files? |

You can change how Apache operates through .htaccess
I doubt there is anything malicious you could do, but you could theoretically take up more resources for your site as .htaccess is processed on each request. |

Yeah, unfortunately, lesson learned regarding hosting providers. They are NOT all alike... |

Then ask them to prorate it based upon "usage". You are unable to accomplish what you wanted to accomplish because their service does not allow certain things. I.e., they cannot support your needs, therefore, they need to pony up to that fact, and refund you your money. But, that is only if they care about their reputation. |
