The HTML NewsLetter Language file is not working, only the place-markers(?) are there but not the definitions for EVERY text label, even in the ACP.
Musta missed something somewhere, default install and ravenice theme (if that makes any difference).

Can you verify that the files were FTPed correctly and completely? It sounds like maybe the language file is missing or corrupt on your server. |

The file is there and isn't corrupt from what I can see inside the file. I'll see what I can do with it and report back. |

For whatever reason it's working now. The files by count were all there to begin with. Re-uploaded using CuteFTP instead of Filezilla and started to work. Checked both preferences and they were identical regarding binary/ascii upload etc. The files were originally uploaded with Filezilla after the latest upgrade to 3.1.1.1 and I noticed some bugs in this latest release. May have been the problem, who knows. I know that there are lots of recommendations for Filezilla but I'm not all that impressed. This latest version uploads files twice and leaves some files out altogether. Dunno ...

I've never had an issue with FileZilla in the 2.x branch, however, like any software, each new release has the potential to introduce new bugs. I just have to keep updating as they come out. No different than with paid software... |

Sometimes there are issues with FilleZilla I had also issues with uploads and downloads. But they are very quick with bug fixes. |

Actually my version is 3.1.6 and up to now it's behaved flawlessly. The one thing that irritates me is that if it's sits idly for a minute or so the server connection pane shows "Not connected to any server" and it won't go away.

What I meant to say is that it is in fact connected and can transfer files but the "not connected" message is still there with no directory listing in view.

Thats strange. Mine works I´m not connected, there is no directory listing in view and therefore its not possible to upload and transfer files.
I use the latest version with standard settings. If there weren´t security issues found I would never had upgraded to the 3.x version because I `m missing some things in the new version. |

It could have been a permissions problem originally, but I suspect the real issue was that the files were not properly transferred. |

What happens here apparently is IF you are transferring files ONLINE of course, and it finishes then the connection times out and no directory listing is in view on the server, just the not connected message. If I click again to upload more files I do not have to re-connect as it appears that this is automatic. Strange and confusing sometimes to say the least.
Cheers
