RN 2.3...

Install and all went well. Site was running fine until a few days ago. A new member came to register and could not. I tried to register myself and also could not..You start the reg process and get to the final step where you have to input the security code....When you click next all you get is ( Registration Error! )

I then went into the admin area to the ( edit users ) area to attempt to activate them. I see the waiting members and choose to activate or approve them.. When I click to do whatever it flip's me to a blank page and nothing happens......

Any thoughts ??

Can you turn on Error Reporting in the config.php file and tell us if any errors are displayed.

Did you install anything that could have altered your nuke_users table? This happened to me, so prior to any install make sure you know if your data base will be modified in any way which can cause problems.

Regards,
jc

Were you trying to use it with the Mail() option or SMTP(). Just curious. I've had issues with it trying to use the PHP Mail() option and my host doesn't have PHP mail set up properly.

Yeah, I know, I'm the author of TegoNuke(tm) Mailer, but not of Swift, which is where the issue is occurring. Just haven't had time to try and figure it out. If it works with the Mailer off, leave it off. Its main purpose anyways was to use in case you could only use SMTP.

I was using the standard mail function. But it could have been something knuckle headed I did too...

No, that actually explains it (no, not the "knuckle headed" comment! Lol.) Like I said in my post, I've seen this happen. As long as your host keeps the PHP mail() alive and working, no need to ever turn on the Mailer. However, if they switch you over to authenticated SMTP, turn on the mailer, enter your SMTP settings there, plus in the Forums admin configuration, and you are back in business. Wink
