MAC OSX with GD library

Anybody have experience with this?

I have one G5 and two Intel Xserve's at work running PHP 5.2.6

I have been trying to successfully get the GD library installed on my development box (G5) before I do this to the production servers. The Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! package did not work for me. It broke half my site.

I needed bcmath and gd library to make graphs. I went through a couple of pages on the site to see if there were any anomalies after I installed Entropy and at first didn't see any. The graphs were working and I was very pleased. Upon further exploration to make sure all was good I found several pages of the site was littered with...

The server is used to administer exams to medical students and the site was developed using the phpBB template engine. The site was running a stock 5.2.6 and was running perfectly with no issues.

Some of the difference in php.ini I saw were the following that I changed in an attempt to fix this. These are things that were On in the stock 5.2.6 that were off in Entropy:

allow_call_time_pass_reference = On
magic_quotes_gpc = On
register_argc_argv = On

Entropy is an outstanding package for Mac servers but will be unusable to me if I can't get this working. Doing a manual install of GD library is something I've tried once already and was unsuccessful. What could have changed in the configuration that would have broken Template->loadfile() Confused

Steve, I have absolutely zero experience with OSX, so I definitely cannot help with this one. Unless/Until someone else helps you, I would try Googling for something like osx php 5.2.6 and GD breaks my site. I saw some things that looked just like what you're asking.
