Hello @all...

i have some questions abouth future RN...

Will there be a per-module design (theme related)?
Will there be a phpbb or any forum plug-in methode ( theme & corefile related)

Will there come a session handling for users&admin(s) ( and not use session system for just/only a captcha???).

Will there comes a version it isnt needed to follow XX steps before installation? (user freindly based not php-nuke USERS based).

Will a php-nuke or RN ever could compete against any other current populair CMS system?

Will a php-nuke or RN be prepaired to work in a php6 or php >6 ? ( use more class based enviroment).

I really really have aloth of thoughts around my questions , i dont want to critize in a nagative way.
However for now i see aloth of things happening around php-nuke community and aloth of it is on RN credit , wich i think is good , as it isnt only just to get some default php-nuke support.

But there's aloth missing in my view , like building to the future , i like renewing i really like that most of all.

Infact my questions are more based on ...should i create something for the nuke users , or will whatever i create just be a new add-on to a deathend?

Everything is possible in the future and next releases of RavenNuke I believe.
Php 6 is a bit problematic cause I don´t use it just kidding.
I´m sure the rest of the RavenNuke team and Raven will tell you more about.

I don't think you will get an answer to these questions regarding PHP-Nuke, but as for RavenNuke:

I'm not sure what you mean by per-module design, but part of the answer depends on the module

We are already preparing the Forums for a more modular approach, but making Forums more modular conflicts with theme integration (see the answer to the first question)

Are you asking if sessions will replace cookies for authentication? If so, not completely, but there is certainly more that could be done with sessions.

"User friendly" means different things to different people, and all may not agree. However, the RavenNuke installer is much better than its predecessor, and continues to improve with each release. If you have specific suggestions for improvements, we are very eager to hear them.

This, too, can be argued from many different viewpoints. What is the basis for your comparison? Security, functionality, flexibility, popularity, available addons, support, integration with other scripts? RN compares favorably is every area I can think of with its predecessor.

Moving RavenNuke from PHP4 to PHP5 required virtually no changes. Many functions in RN are already class-based, so I don't anticipate that being a challenge.

The continued growth of RavenNuke and the available support are a good indication that RavenNuke is a fine choice for many current and future webmasters. It doesn't have the press that some other CMS software has - at least not yet - but there are definitely opportunities for developers. In fact, one of the main advantages of RavenNuke over some CMS software is the simplicity of its design. It's easier to develop, convert and integrate addons for Nuke.

How could anyone ever answer such a question? It lives as long as there is a community interested in it and one that supports it. PHP-Nuke has been "dead" for years... it never fulfilled the "support" piece. RavenNuke, on the other hand, still has both. If any one of the two legs dies, so does the specific CMS.

That was exactly my point Wink

php-nuke is still one of the most used sites, you would be surprised at the amount of people still using nuke rather than a more stable system like raven Smile
