Create Thumbnails is enabled but thumbs are not created. In the forum admin => attachments => Special Categories when clicking on Test, I get the error:
The Directory './../modules/Forums/files/thumbs' does not exist or couldn't be found.
The /thumbs/ directory is there and chmod to 777 (temporarily).
It "appears" that the path in the error is not correct AFAIK.
Cheers
BTW: I did see this thread:
http://www.ravenphpscripts.com/postp119227.html
But I obtained no useful info there as mine does not work even though Evaders said it works inspite of the error. |

Went through all the settings again and now it is working and creating the thumbnail.
However, another screwball problem.
On site A the thumbnail is created, click and the large photo comes up in another tab in the browser.
On site B the thumbnail is created , click but this time it wants to download and display in the default image app - PSP Pro7 here.
I matched ALL the settings with site A and B and still the same behavior. Dunno ..

More interesting issues ....
On site A, RN 2.3.01 was a NEW installation, no previous Nuke
On ste B, RN 2.3.01 was upgraded from RN 2.20.01
Site A is working as intended although the GD extension has to be enabled or the images are discolored. ImageMagick has been installed for a long time now.
On site B, it doesn't matter if GD is enabled or not, the thumbs (only) are discolored if a JPG is uploaded, not happening with GIF images. Site A and B are on the same host.
Site B thumbs when clicked will download the large image, site A displays in the browser.
Both site A and B are running with the same exact /modules/Forums and /themes/RavenIce/
Customer's site B doesn't matter if thumbs are enabled or not. Buttttt, this is puzziling and needs resolving to at least preserve some modicum of sanity. |

Someone else might be able to give a better answer, but I don't think there is anyway for the code to make this happen. This has to be a server/browser problem. I think.
I have no idea about the discoloration problem. |

It's the same server, different domains and installation routines. One is an upgrade - Site B - and the other is a new install - Site A. Has to be a leftover file or setting with site B I would have to imagine. Customer is happy at the moment so this issue rests solely with a personal crusade now.
Going to run a compare from the /utilities/ part of the package on Site B and see what happens. Already re-uploaded the /modules/Forums and the /theme/RavenIce/Forums but didn't matter.
Will of course post back, hopefully with a success story. What a way to spend a day off ...

Ran the file_migraton23 and removed all suggested files. The color problem disappeared but the thumbs still insist on downloading. Dunno, will somehow fix it.
"mimetype" issue ??? What could be different on that domain that isn't a problem on the other? The image extension doesn't matter tho. |

Ok, confirmed ...
This anomaly is only happening in an upgraded domain. In a new install of RN 2.3.01 the thumb/large image is displayed in the browser. On all, and I've tried 6 domains that were upgraded, the large image is downloaded. Oh where oh where do we go from here !!!
Oh, and BTW, users on the problematic domain can access the NEW installation and the image is displayed in their browsers as well, IE, Safari, FF, Seamonkey, etc. It's not a browser OR server problem as the domains share the same server, etc. |
