I kept getting a blank white spot or nothing at all, where the editor was supposed to load.
I finally discovered that in the mainfile, FCKeditor was written 'fckeditor'. I changed them all with the caps and solved the problem. |

Check the readme / installation / upgrade notes for RN 2.3.0 - we renamed the folder from FCKeditor to fckeditor, and you can remove everything in the FCKeditor folder EXCEPT the uploads folder, which is where any uploaded images, etc. are from previous versions.
In FCKeditor 2.6.3, it uses the fckeditor (lower case) folder, and we moved uploads outside of the fckeditor folder to prevent future problems. |

I love finding solutions without having to ask questions YEHAWWWWW. The question that comes to mind now is why did my other portals update ok and this last one did not. I deleted the includes FCKeditor folder same as I did with the others however on the conversion I just finished it still had caps after the update. I must have mucked something up huh?? I do read the instuctions and try to follow them step by step. You good people do a great job of it if I can follow them and get it done anyone can.

One of the issues that I used to run into a lot is something would work on Windows, because it isn't case sensitive, and then once I uploaded it, it wouldn't. Another common problem I used to have is FTP clients not set to preserve case.
Don't know if any of these apply, but since switching from Windows to Ubuntu, I suspect these issues will no longer haunt me. |

Apache "mod_spel" takes care of that as well as mispeled words. |
