Greetings Folks.

I have a solitary user who is constantly getting Innvalid IP address screen.

Quote:
You have attempted to access this site with an invalid IP.
If you think this is a mistake you can contact the site webmaster at Some ID(at) SomeISP(dot)com.
Be SURE to include the following information in any email!
User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 5.1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322)
Remote Address: IP Address
Client IP: none
Forwarded For: none

PLEASE: bear in mind that even if you have done nothing wrong, you may be getting this page due to someone's misuse of the site in your ip range

In reading the forums is seems that deleting and replacing the IP2C tables is the way to go. I saw the faq and did the following.

Quote:
/*********************************************************************************
* NukeSentinel(tm) Configuration Options:
*
* $bypassNukeSentinelInvalidIPCheck: Debug control to bypass NukeSentinel(tm)
* InvalidIP check when set to "true". Leave
* this "false" for production sites.
* $bypassInstallationFolderCheck: Debug control to bypass RavenNuke(tm)
* setup/runtime check when set to "true". Leave
* this "false" for production sites.
**********************************************************************************/
$bypassNukeSentinelInvalidIPCheck = true; // This should only be used (set to "true") when testing locally and not in a production environment <<===I did this
$bypassInstallationFolderCheck = false; // This should only be used (set to "true") when testing locally and not in a production environment

/*********************************************************************************

I upgraded the 2.3 portal to 2.3.01 and hoped that would resove the issue. It did not. I have instegated the quick fix however I am more interested in the correct solution.

My question is where do I find the instructions to reupload the tables? Do I run the update script? This user is the only one I have ever had who notifued me of this problem yet he seems to have it constantly. Now he is unable to access his site. He also cannot get into my main site he can however get into other 2.3 upgraded portals. Suggestions? Comments?

Just manually add his IP to the IP2C table via NukeSentinel(tm)

IP to Country Menu => IP2C Add Range

I did that prior to changing the config in rnconfig.php. He still was unable to get into his site. Since like so many his IP addy is constantly changing and he seems to be experiencing this problem a lot. I have never seen it nor has any other of my users ever commented on it but this one guy who is basic computer knowledgeable seems to have this challenge often. It is curious.

Most people who have changing IPs, have IPs that are in a constant CIDR. Is there any consistency in any of the octets?

Sorry I am not clear on the question.
