Im sure this has been asked before, and this might not be the correct forum to post under, so any advice is appreciated.

Alright so using RN latest 2.3, I was succesful in installing AT lite...Well that was a big jump compared to other versions of *nuke that would just give me a white admin page along the current issue, the themes just wont work. Im not sure if it has to do with the module or the themes but I never got anywhere so I'm wondering if anyone here has had any experience with AT, and the reason I ask here is because I also think it would be a great feature to be integrated into RN.

Have you upload the theme to the regular public_html/nukeroot/themes/ directory? and ensured your theme is AT compliant?

Also i know RN has changed slightly with the way themes work in the latest release so you will have to wait for a developer to confirm your quiries.

Yeah I did that, set all the appropriate folder permisions, etc. I even tried downloading another AT theme from autothemes.com, still get the blank page when I click save. Im sure someones had more experience?

Thats alright, thanks for trying

I dont really know but when I go to Admin, AutoTheme, Themes, and select the default theme and click save, I get a white page. Then I click back and refresh and it goes back to the regular nuke theme I have set as default.

Also a few sections dont work at all, I get a 404 with Commands, which would be admin.php&op=cmdedit

I also noticed it doesnt read the correct admin setting from the db it just uses admin.php and assumes thats your admin page, in my case I changed that in links/links.autotheme.php Not sure if that makes much of a difference though.

I know nothing about AutoThemes but starting from that ...

first thing to look for is whether it uses the old dbi and sql_layer. There are many posts and a couple of sticky threads about that so I'd look there first. There is a quick fix you can make to mainfile if that's the case and while you figure out how to make a more thorough fix.

The second thing to look for is that op=cmdedit. I'm not familiar with that from standard RN. You may need to make changes to the standard admin.php to have the cmdedit recognized. The value of $admin_file is set in config.php and is used throughout RN properly. So, really the value of the admin setting is not in the database per se. If AT is not using that setting then it is not reading the value of $admin_file properly.

I had started working on a new version of AutoTheme that is less code, faster and has one compatibility file per CMS, also with some cool new features. I'll try and pickup again this weekend and see how far I can get.

I'm not sure how many new users it gets, but the original PHP-Nuke seems to have stagnated so I need to concentrate more on Raven and the others forks I would assume.

Thanks!

Shawn, I missed this - sorry! I know we tried this once and for one reason or another we shelved it. Let me know if you need anything. Thanks!

Shawn, the last time I looked at it for RN, it was really needing quite a bit of work to make XHTML 1.0 Transitional as well. For the RavenNuke(ers), it might be a good thing to focus on too. Wink

Yes, you or someone else sent me some fixes. All of the XHTML problems are in the admin, so it shouldn't be seen by users or search engines. The code output by AutoTheme in the publicly accessible theme should be valid XHTML/HTML depending upon the doctype you set in the theme admin.

Thanks!

I had sent you a number of fixes/changes/etc. back when you and I were working on it but I'm not sure if that's what you're referring to.
