I tried PhP nuke in 2002 , because my friends needed a clan site right out of the box.PHPnuke didn't provide that , I used a fork , phpnuke extreme v5.6.

i'm not a dev , but what made me stay on phpnuke was the ability to do what we want with the existing layer of user processing. And it was also easy to mess with it like we wanted ,fuzzy hardcode every where.

After many disband , my clan decided to reform and we got platinum on our website because the latest phpnuke exteme v7.6 was not supported by the team anymore (they disband as well to join nuked-klan).
Platinum b4 was good when we tried it during the 2 years or so. But due to some "lucky" developers the project stopped and it was a pain in the ass to have real support. Hence my position as support staff and how I encountered ravenphpscripts: a search in google <<Update Nukesentinel on phpnuke 7.6>> . 6 months later I downloaded RN 2.3 , upgraded to RN 2.3 , then RN2.4 and wrote this post.

My original go with PHP-Nuke came from Fantastico when I was just starting on the web back in the early 2000's. I quickly found Raven's site where I received such great help I kept coming back... What got me into development was the HTML Newsletter. I was building my family web site and wanted a way to send newsletters.

I didn't care for Fancy Newsletter all that much at the time and ended up running into the HTML Newsletter. I had customized it quickly to my needs, including NSN Groups support, and was off and running... but, I just couldn't stop. I had other things that I wanted it to do, so kept adding them. When I approached the author with my ideas, he liked them and wanted to collaborate. We did for a release and then he had to drop out of the community, so I took it over and released several new releases. That necessitated that I have my own developer site for distribution and support and so Montego Scripts was born.

Since I had received such good help over the months from Raven and his community here, I just kept coming back and as my own *nuke skills progressed, I found it very satisfying to help others like I had been helped. The rest is history....

So, regarding RavenNuke(tm), I've been here since the beginning... I think I migrated all my sites to 2.10.00 eventually and have been using only RN since.

I discovered PHP Nuke at warp-speed 2003 or 2004 and tested my first Nuke 6.5 3 full month offline before I uploaded it. Nuke 7.1 was just available but I decided to use an older Nuke version and because I have learned so much about NukeSentinel, Security and SEO with this version. I was really a great fan of this version. Bob Marion helped me a lot to get NS working with my Nuke version of course Raven and the community helped too and my site was running several years until I switched over to RavenNuke (TM). and today I love it to have a site which is so secure and stable.
Security issues and my interest in NukeSentinel was the reason I registered here and in my opinion its still the best support site. Smile
I donĀ“t know how Raven is able to manage all these things but he is great.

I can't even remember the first nuke version I tried. It was one of the evolution packages way back. Anyway, I started building my gaming clan a website which eventually led me to meeting my now life long friend Ped. It was also about the time I discovered this site and RavenNuke. I think Ped showed it to me when I asked what clan-themes.co.uk was based off of.

My clan needed a clan roster and I couldn't find anything that suited my needs. So I started building my own and Ped invited me to sell it on his new site clan-themes.co.uk. I bought into that hook line and sinker. Today, CT is something I am extremely proud of and RavenNuke (team included) is a big part of our success.

Fun fact, I remember looking at codezwiz.com and all his custom mods when I didn't even know what echo meant saying to myself I want to do that. Funny.

So today I dedicate myself to giving back to a CMS and community that has allowed me to do so much.

I started with phpnuke back in 2001-2002 when I released Calloway's Cart one of the first Paypal shops available. I also helped on the original emporium module before burn wave.

I originally built the carts to run our online business which has become very successful.
