Seems fast, works with RN 2.3 / FCKeditor 2.6.3 (so far), but the initial problems concern me. |

Not sure whether that's a valid test or not, but here are my results on XP:
IE 6: 12/100
IE 7: 12/100
FF 2: 52/100
FF 3: 71/100
Safari 3.1.2: 75/100
Chrome: 79/100
Opera 9.51: 84/100
Edit: added FF3, IE 6 |

Does this site test the compatibility of the browser and the coding formats and such stuff? (CSS, HTML, XHTML, Javascript, displaying of different image formats,...)
???
I've read some comments on other sites and most people prefer chrome so far. They say it's much faster than Firefox. |

Depends on the page.
Secondly Firefox 3.1 comes with a new JavaScript engine that is 10 times faster. |

I just read a scary article about chrome enabling Google to be even more of a Big Brother than it already is. I'm sure Montego will want to chime in on that! |

lol.... Lets just say I won't be jumping on the Chrome bandwagon.... as long as FF is still active and not bought out by Google. |

I can see where I would not want Google, MS or anyone for that matter tracking what I do and how I do it. I have tried and I like chrome....but if they are going to play Big Brother....they can forget it!

Initially, Google just cut & pasted the TOS/privacy policy from Google documents and applied to Chrome. This policy said that anything you type into the applicaiton, google owned and can do whatever they want with. After the media pointed this out to them, they fixed it. Oops. |

Google stated they don't want toolbars in his browser as they say this will broke the keep it simple idea of the browser they develop.
That appart, i think they will be changing mind sooner or later. |

Google Beta's last for years so don't hold your breath on plug-ins.
Tried it, liked the visual appearence but that's about it. I uninstalled it, then had to remove the auto updater it left behind.
Just too many things were skipped over for me to have any confidence in it - Terms of service, privacy policy, auto download exec files without a prompt and goodness knows what else. Sounds like some ex-MS people were on the dev team. |
