Any idea where to start looking for an entire index page to be centered in IE but not in Firefox or Seamonkey? Everything is centered, logo, blocks, etc.

Site: www.whodatsaygonnabeatdemsaints.com

I'll try another theme to see if that's the problem and go from there.

Cheers

Addendum: Ok, it's the theme "fiblack3d" also "zonecopper" as well. Ravenice is ok. So, I'll have to see where the difference is in the theme programming. Liable to take a while .. sigh!

Ideas to save some time MOST welcome!! Smile

Actually fixed it with a "band-aid", not very elegant but works until the better fix is found.

Added in theme.php at the top.

</center>
<?php>

Whatever works I guess. Now I'll have some more leisurely time to figure it out for real now.

I think the culprit may be td align center in the table class bodyline. Most of the page is inside this td. As for why IE handles it differently..? Rolling Eyes

Code:
<table class="bodyline" width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0">

<tr>
<td align="center" valign="top">

I would remove the </center> tag you added as it's generated at the very top of the page before the doctype or <head>

I would highly recommend firebug for firefox, an essential tool to help track down these styling issues. You can right click on an element in the page (inspect element) and see the associated html and css styling...

I have firebug installed in FF but unfortunately I'm at work and all I have is IE (company) requirement (FEDS) !! Sad

I'll try the class fix and see what happens.

Cheers

Addendum: Don't see that in my theme anywhere, not in tables.php. Any idea where to look for the <td align="center"> ??

Thanks

Solution was in "header.html". Two "center" tags removed, one for the body of the page and the other to fix the logo that was centered.

Thanks Smile
