Hi all,

I just inherited a game website and I moved it to the host I have been using, as an addon domain. The site is up and running with everything working except the images. (xtremeassault.org)

The site is rn 2.4 with the Modern Gamer theme from ClanThemes
I have checked line 69 of the config file and line 32 of the rnconfig file to see if they are pointing at the "themes/Modern_Gamer/images/" and "themes/Modern_Gamer/images/topics/" folders and they are.

Is there somewhere else I should look? What is maddening is that the blocks and eveything else work fine... so the config definitions work for those but not for the images. Shocked

BTW I am liking this CMS a lot... Nice work!

It appears to be a server config issue. This is the error you get when trying to view the image
Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /themes/Modern_Gamer/images/header_01.jpg on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

It could be permissions also. Make sure the image folders are accessible. If that does not work, ask your webhost to check their settings.

Wow! Thanks for the quick response.

I checked the permissions on all the folder levels... they are 0755 except for the images which are 0644. The .swf files are executing as the clock and shout box are working so I am even more confused LOL. My ISP is looking into it also.

Again thanks for the quick response!

The ISP says that it is a code issue and not a permissions issue. Yet if I do a view page source and click on the links to the images I can see the images. AHHHHHHH! Bang Head

Any Ideas?

If you switch themes, do the images display correctly? If they do, it probably is something simple in the theme. If you PM me a link to download the theme, I will see if I can fix it.

I just went into admin > preferences and the page was blank with the default theme set to 3D. I am guessing that the files, in particular the permissions, did not fair well. I think I need to start new and reload everything, then re-populate the DB. Oh well that's what I get for taking the shortcut.

Thanks for your help nuken. It is much appreciated.

WAIT!
When you moved the site, did you remember to change the settings in Site Preferences and Forum Admin->Configuration to reflect the change of site address??

The problem was two fold...
    1. Poor FTP client protocol - I used FireFTP in FireFox but a second upload with putty solved the images issue. (binary upload)
    2. The new host requires a prefix on the DB name and you can't rename the DB. So a rebuild on the new host is in order to get the admin permissions back.

Thank you nuken and Guardian2003 for you help.
